Community Renewal Pennywell Pantry is a dignified way to get food for low-income families in Muirhouse and West Pilton. We try to offer a wide range of fresh and store cupboard food.
Pennywell Pantry was originally set up by North Edinburgh Arts. In December 2021 it looked like the pantry may need to close but Community Renewal Pennywell were able to set in to keep it open (https://theedinburghreporter.co.uk/2022/02/pennywell-pantry-future-secured-with-new-charity-link-up/).
Wed – 10.00am-2.00pm
Thurs – 10.00am-2.00pm
Fri – 10.00am-2.00pm

An individual shop costs £3.50 a family shop costs £5.00. Pennywell Pantry depends on volunteers (especially local volunteers) and donations from the public and businesses. We are very grateful for food donations (before use by date) and unopened toiletries or nappies.
The Pantry is currently fully subscribed though anyone is welcome to sign up to the waiting list for the next opening. Any question get in touch on pennywellpantry@communityrenewal.org.uk or call 0131 332 8773.
If you want to support our work, the best thing you can do is a small financial donation which will be used to ensure low-income families have access to healthier food and baby supplies. Donate here.
