Community Wealth Building is about rethinking all our local systems and local economy to better create equal opportunities, reduce persistent poverty and empower residents. The five pillars of Community Wealth Building are:

1. Developing more local activity to generate community wealth.
2. Maximising community benefits from public sector spending.
3. Increasing fair work and developing better local jobs.
4. Growing the value that local communities gain from our land and buildings.
5. Helping investment and institutions work for local people.

In Bingham, Magdalene and The Hays a group of local organisations, groups and services have come together to form an alliance of equals. This Community Wealth Building Alliance covers an neighbourhood of around 5000 residents and complements the

A accompanying Community Forum to amplify community voices and foster community activism is also supported.
