Anne leads our work in Govanhill, especially working with the Roma people in that community. This is for health and community development projects – we have funding from People’s Health Trust to provide community-led activities in a project called Local Conversations and a contract with Glasgow HSCP to deliver Community Led Health Improvement in South Glasgow.
After graduating with a degree in Psychology from the Open University, Anne worked for the National Health Service in Lothian and Lanarkshire in community health and statutory sector partnership development.
Feeling she wanted to explore further, Anne then left the UK to go and work in international health in Cambodia and Yemen with UNICEF and the governments in each country developing adult and child and maternal health projects. Her international exposure is of great benefit to the perspective and experience she brings as Community Engagement Co-ordinator in her work with GP’s and communities across Scotland.
Anne also holds a Masters in Health Education and Health Promotion and a Master of Arts degree.
